(Community Leadership In Cyber Knowledge and Safety) is an educational outreach program sponsored by the Maryland Attorney General. The programs is designed to equip Maryland’s community leaders with the resources to teach students and their parents about Internet safety.
- IKeep Safe
The Internet Keep Safe Coalition is a broad partnership of governors and/or first spouses, attorneys general, public health and educational professionals, law enforcement, and industry leaders working together for the health and safety of youth online. iKeepSafe® uses these unique partnerships to disseminate safety resources to families worldwide.
- NetSmartz -
The NetSmartz Workshop is an interactive, educational safety resource from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children® (NCMEC) and Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) for children aged 5 to 17, parents, guardians, educators, and law enforcement that uses age-appropriate, 3-D activities to teach children how to stay safer on the Internet. Resources are targeted to various stakeholder groups such as Parents and Guardians | Educators | Law Enforcement | Teens | Kids. Resources include, but are not limited to, definitions, teen profile security, games, presentations, public service announcements.
SafeKids.com is one of the oldest and most enduring sites for Internet safety. It’s creator, Larry Magid, is the author of the original 1994 brochure, “Child Safety on the Information Highway” and is also a technology journalist. Resources include guidelines for children, family contract for online safety, and much more.
